When Dr. Rachel Scott is in the lab working on the cure she has a flashback to her childhood in Africa after her mother's funeral service. She is seen sitting on a bed speaking to a nurse. In the first shot, the camera is showing the right side of Rachel's face and her hair can be seen hanging down on the left side of her face. The camera then pans out and to the left side of Rachel's face and her hair is seen pushed behind her ear.
