Marvel May Be Introducing A Body Positive Superhero Into The McU

In the last two years, Marvel Studios has released its first female-fronted film and its first with a black lead. And since both movies passed the billion-dollar mark at the box office, you can imagine that the production house has every incentive to keep diversifying their superhero roster. Sure enough, in a recent interview with Ians, Kevin Feige hinted that the team intends to bring some body positivity into the franchise very soon.

When asked if he’d like to adapt any superheroes who don’t possess the “perfect figure,” the Marvel Studios head initially joked, “Yes, I would, because then maybe I can be a superhero.” But on a more serious note, Feige then suggested that this was indeed the case.

“Traditionally, if you look at the way they are drawn in the comics, they go to very iconic mythic proportions,” Feige said of Marvel’s stable of superheroes.

Wondering Where to Stream Captain Marvel? Here’s Why It Won’t Be on Netflix
Not only is Captain Marvel the first female-fronted movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe - which also went on to hit the box office with an estimated $153 million debut - but the Brie Larson-led flick will be the first to exclusively hit Disney's new streaming service, Disney+.

Disney announced back in November 2018 that it would be creating its own streaming service that exclusively owns all Disney titles. The service will include content from Disney's main studios, like Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and, of course, Marvel Studios. This means that all films within the McU will soon only be available on Disney+. So whatever films are currently on other streaming sites, like Netflix, will steadily be taken down leading up to the service's launch date.

On the plus side, fans won't have to wait long to watch the adventures of Carol Danvers and her adorable furry sidekick. Captain Marvel

Marvel Fan Breaks World Record After Seeing Captain Marvel 116 Times

Earlier this month, Captain Marvel became the first female-led superhero film to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office. And while Brie Larson has already made sure to thank her fans for the huge milestone, the actress has also fired back at the critics, arguing that the success of Carol Danvers’ standalone outing shouldn’t come as that great a surprise.

Speaking at the Women in the World conference in New York City recently, she explained how she rarely felt pressure during the production of Captain Marvel, but the day before it opened, the Oscar-winner said she had some serious anxiety about the pic’s performance, which she now feels was unwarranted.

“We put unnecessary pressure on ourselves,” Larson said. “I understand film history. I know that the film industry started with a majority of women. It started with women filmmakers. This weird idea that women maybe can’t

Did Chris Evans Just Confirm This Long-Standing Avengers: Endgame Theory?
Chris Evans brought up interdimensional travel in a new segment promoting Avengers: Endgame. The cast and the Russo Brothers are currently out on the promotional tour for the epic movie and doing their best to not spoil anything. And for the most part, everybody has been doing a stellar job, even notorious spoiler Mark Ruffalo hasn't leaked out anything, which is rather remarkable. With that being said, it is believed he has had a few talks with some of the upper management at Marvel Studios for his past information leaks.

Stephen Colbert had some of Earth's Mightiest Heroes on his Just One Question segment. Colbert is really excited for Avengers: Endgame and he enjoyed seeing some of their answers to fan questions. When asked about the biggest enemy to the Avengers, everybody said Thanos, except for Chris Evans. Instead, he chose something much different. He explains.

"Honestly, I'd say chafing.

Karen Gillan Wants A Nebula And Captain Marvel Team-Up

Though the billion-dollar box office success of Captain Marvel has ensured a place for Carol Danvers in the future of the franchise, the heroine’s plans beyond this month’s Avengers: Endgame remain a little unclear. But should Brie Larson’s character be looking for a partner to explore the cosmos with, Karen Gillan has argued that Nebula could make for a fitting companion.

In an interview with the Toronto Sun, the actress was asked who she’d like to see the Guardians of the Galaxy regular interact with if she ever got her own standalone movie, to which she replied:

“I think she could be good with the Hulk — when he’s angry. They could be two angry people together. I’d like to see that. I think she’d be good with Captain Marvel action as well. I think Nebula would have an unspoken respect for Captain Marvel.

Robert Downey Jr. says Avengers: Endgame ending is “the best eight minutes” of the entire McU
We’re just days out from the release of Avengers: Endgame, with Marvel Studios set to deliver not only the conclusion to Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but an ending to the entire 22-movie ‘Infinity Saga’ – as well as setting the stage for the next chapter in the beloved superhero franchise.

As such, expectations for Endgame are through the roof, and Robert Downey Jr. appears to be very confident that the film will deliver, with the Iron Man star telling The Upcoming that: “The last eight minutes of [Avengers: Endgame] are maybe the best eight minutes in the entire history of the whole run of them, in a way, because everyone’s involved.”

Whether those final eight minutes will focus on the climactic battle against Thanos, or perhaps some kind of The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King-style endings as the torch is passed to a

Avengers: Infinity War Writer Admits Cap Didn’t Get Enough Lines

Last year’s Avengers: Infinity War was charged with juggling an overwhelming array of characters, which meant that even some of the McU’s biggest stars were essentially pushed into supporting roles. Take Captain America, who was given a total of just 25 lines in the whole two-and-a-half-hour movie. Sure, he gets a few memorable moments here and there, but you could’ve written him out of the film entirely and the plot would’ve been more or less the same.

In an interview with io9, Infinity War co-writer Stephen McFeely admitted that the First Avenger wasn’t given a whole lot to say or do in his last outing, but argued that he’ll play a much bigger role in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame.

“When I was talking about [Infinity War], I very often said that sometimes we gave ourselves permission to tell more story for a character in Endgame than in Infinity War,

‘The Curse of La Llorona’ Poised to Take No. 1 at Easter Weekend Box Office

‘The Curse of La Llorona’ Poised to Take No. 1 at Easter Weekend Box Office
With “Avengers: Endgame” coming out next week, Easter weekend at the box office has been notably slower than usual with an estimated 22% drop compared to last year’s holiday totals. But it is still looking like a successful weekend for Warner Bros. as it’s on track to take the top two spots on the charts with newcomer “The Curse of La Llorona” and the third weekend of “Shazam!”

La Llorona,” which was produced by New Line on a $9 million budget, earned $11.8 million from 3,372 screens on Friday and is expected to beat tracker expectations with a $26 million weekend opening. The low budget will make this a profitable film for Warner, though it will likely have a very frontloaded performance at the box office given the film’s tepid word of mouth and “Avengers” on the horizon. The film has a 34% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and a B- from opening night audience polls on CinemaScore.

Marvel Looking To Develop A Valkyrie TV Show, Tessa Thompson To Star

Tessa Thompson made a big impact with her debut as Valkyrie in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, as McU fans immediately called for her to show up again. Unfortunately, the Asgardian warrior sat out Avengers: Infinity War, but the good news is she’ll aid the remaining heroes in their quest to defeat Thanos in next week’s Avengers: Endgame. And the signs look promising for her Marvel career post-Phase Three as well, if our info’s correct.

We Got This Covered has been informed by a source that the studio is looking to develop a Valkyrie TV series. Note that at this stage, the House of Ideas is only “looking” at the possibility and it’s not in active development just yet. We can presume this would be another Marvel Studios project destined for the Disney Plus streaming service, though, with previously announced efforts including Loki, Falcon and Winter Soldier and WandaVision.

Analysts Now Predicting An Unprecedented Opening Weekend For Avengers: Endgame

We’re now one week out from the release of Avengers: Endgame, and it feels like the box office projections just keep getting higher.

Near the start of this month, THR forecast a domestic opening in the range of $200-$250 million. Shortly afterwards, Deadline suggested that the Avengers: Infinity War sequel has “a good shot” at passing $260 million, and may even approach the $300 million mark. And now, ComicBook.com has spoken to three box office analysts, whose estimates are at least as generous.

Boxoffice chief analyst Shawn Robbins, for instance, said that a $300 million domestic opening could end up being “very probable,” though he admits that Endgame’s record-breaking projections bring us into untested waters.

“It’s unprecedented territory,” Robbins said. “The numbers that are out floating around out there no matter where you look, it’s on a level that I don’t even think the most optimistic and/or sort of expected.

Avengers: Endgame TV Spot Will Get You Pumped for the Event of the Summer

Marvel has gifted us with yet another new Avengers: Endgame TV spot heading into the weekend. The final countdown for hardcore Marvel Cinematic Universe fans is here. We have a week, or just under a week for those who are seeing it Thursday night, before the highly-anticipated follow-up to Infinity War finally arrives. Now, we have a brand new TV spot that not only comes with a bit of new action-packed footage, but it's also positioning this movie as the official start of summer, even though that's still technically a couple of months away.

For the most part, this TV spot is just cramming in as many cool shots as it possibly can in 30 seconds. It succeeds on that level, to be sure. But there are some new little bits for fans to look out for, such as little bit of dialogue from Tony, Ant-Man literally being flicked like a

Avengers: Endgame countdown: Gabbar Singh explains the theory

Today in Glamsham?s Avengers: Endgame countdown series, Bollywood?s immortal Gabbar Singh from the evergreen cult classic Sholay explains the theory behind the biggest war on screen.

Marvel films on superheroes in different sizes

Marvel Studios want their films to "reflect audiences all over the globe that are cheering" their work. Though they are going big on diversity, they are yet to have a plus-size superhero or someone who doesn't have an envious physique. But this might change "sooner than you think", says Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, and Chris Evans are some of the Hollywood stars who have donned the superhero costume for Marvel Cinematic Universe (McU). It's not just their special skills or superpowers that fans across the world are in love with, but also their jaw-dropping figures.?

When Ians asked would Marvel like to introduce superheroes who don't possess the "perfect figure", Feige said here with a laugh: "Yes, I would because then maybe I can be a superhero."

Superheroes generally come in figure-enhancing tights. Doesn't he feel they are being stereotyped?

‘Llorona’ Lucrative On Thursday Night With $2.75M In Previews
Before Avengers: Endgame snatches away the under 25 demo next weekend, Warner Bros. is looking to hook them over the Easter weekend with New Line’s James Wan produced horror pic The Curse of La Llorona, which made $2.75M last night from previews that started at 6Pm.

That figure is slightly higher than the $2.3M that Paramount’s Pet Sematary posted in previews two weeks ago, as well as Escape Room‘s $2.3M Thursday night back on Jan. 3 and the Wan produced 2016 horror pic Lights Out ($1.8M). On the Thursday after Labor Day last year, The Nun previews rang up a record Thursday night for The Conjuring universe with $5.4M off 7Pm showtimes.

Llorona is billed as being from The Conjuring producers Wan and The Nun Ep and Annabelle scribe Gary Dauberman. It is not a part of that genre series universe. Warners is hoping those credits on the Llorona one
