The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A major character loses an eye and spends a good 20 minutes of the film - 5 or 6 scenes, some close up - with the wound visible (a black hole with a dried blood fringe), and a bloodied face - could be frightening for young viewers, and is a shocking moment. Thor's appearance in his lightning powered state could be frightening to very young viewers.
  • Per the trailer a large arena battle takes place. It is mostly a fist fight, but towards the end one gets brutally pummeled (almost) to death.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Odin tells Thor and Loki that he loves them before passing away. The scene may upset some viewers on an emotional level.
  • The final 5 minutes of the movie may upset some viewers as it does not have a "super hero" happy ending.
  • The Hulk screams and thrashes around violently after seeing a video clip. It may scare some younger viewers as they may not understand what is happening.
