Tom Hiddleston Thinks Loki’s Arc Is Now Complete After Avengers: Infinity War

Ever since the God of Mischief’s tragic demise in Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel fans have been trying to think of ways that Loki could return from the dead. If you ask Tom Hiddleston, though, he seems to think the character’s arc across the McU is complete as he’s gone from a broken anti-hero to villain to finding redemption.

Hiddleston attended Ace Comic Con in Chicago this weekend and was asked by a fan during a Q&A if he thought Loki could ever be redeemed. The actor replied that, as far as he’s concerned, he already is. To explain what he meant, Hiddleston recapped how he thinks the character changes over his time in the franchise. Beginning with how “broken” he becomes in Thor.

“The thing is, he is redeemed. I found it very touching because Loki, as a character, has been so broken for so long.

New Men in Black Photo Sends the Agents Running Through the Desert

New Men in Black Photo Sends the Agents Running Through the Desert
Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are featured in the latest set photo from the Men in Black spin-off. Thompson shared the image on social media, captioning it as "Buds in Black." Both actors are shown in the trademark black suits in a desert landscape, holding umbrellas to survive the sun. It really doesn't look very comfortable, but this is why they get paid the big bucks to start in major Hollywood films. It's not clear if the umbrellas are in a scene or if it's during a break in between takes.

Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth have shared pictures from the London set before, right before they took off for Avengers 4 reshoots in Atlanta in late September. At the time, Hemsworth announced where they were going and then revealed that they were traveling to Morocco for further Men in Black filming, which is where the latest set photo was taken.

Tessa Thompson And Chris Hemsworth Wander The Desert In Men In Black Set Pic

Seeing how the main characters’ formal attire is referenced in the very name of the Men in Black series, it seems pretty important that the leads for any new installment in the sci-fi saga should look the part in suits. Fortunately, the various set photos we’ve been seeing from next year’s release have provided more than enough evidence that Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth can pull the look off.

This latest pic, shared via Thompson’s Instagram, also indicates that a trip to the desert is on the cards for the pair. This development seems in line with previous statements from Hemsworth himself that the much anticipated flick will be changing up the locations, taking the team out of New York and to new parts of the world.

A fresh set of locations isn’t the only thing that the next Men in Black will be doing differently though,

Scarlett Johansson scores bumper payday for Marvel’s Black Widow movie

She may have missed out on becoming the first Marvel hero to lead her own movie, but Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff is finally set to take centre stage in a Black Widow solo film from Marvel Studios, and THR is reporting that the actress has secured a bumper payday for her efforts.

The trade claims that Johansson is set to pocket a cool $15 million fee to reprise her role – the same amount that Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth earned for appearing in Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok respectively, as well as Avengers: Infinity War and next year’s Avengers 4.

Johansson’s deal is far and away the biggest that Marvel has paid out for a first solo outing, coming in at three times the $5 million salary Brie Larson is collecting for Captain Marvel. Chadwick Boseman reportedly earned $2 million for the lead in Black Panther, while Robert Downey Jr.

Men in Black is back — this time with some girl power!

The two established their chemistry in Thor: Ragnarok, which they’ll milk to further effect as alien-hunting secret agents.

Though details of the plot are being kept under wraps, the movie was announced as a spinoff and not a sequel or a remake, meaning it’s taking place in the same universe as the Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones installments.

‘Sorry to Bother You’ is a strong Oscar contender for Best Original Screenplay

‘Sorry to Bother You’ is a strong Oscar contender for Best Original Screenplay
“Sorry to Bother You” is the first movie I have seen at the London Film Festival press screenings that received a round of applause come the end credits. Steve McQueen‘s “Widows” didn’t receive a round of applause, nor did the Keira Knightley vehicle “Colette.” But Boots Riley‘s screenwriting and directorial debut, did. That’s how great his film is. Here’s the official synopsis of this Annapurna Pictures release: In an alternate present-day version of Oakland, telemarketer Cassius Green discovers a magical key to professional success, propelling him into a universe of greed.

It’s by far one of the most original films of the year, its off-kilter humour and vivid imagination providing plenty of laughs throughout the entire runtime. The entire cinema loved it, and it’s received rapturous reviews to match. It’s currently got a score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Black Widow Movie Scores Scarlett Johansson a Huge $15M Paycheck

Black Widow Movie Scores Scarlett Johansson a Huge $15M Paycheck
While most of the prominent characters from The Avengers have gotten at least one solo film, we've never been able to say the same for Black Widow. Portrayed by Scarlett Johansson, the superhero has now been seen in six separate films in the McU, but has yet to lead her own adventure. That is finally changing soon enough with the upcoming Black Widow movie, which will give Johansson a chance to shine on her own. Better yet for the actress, the role has gotten her a paycheck totaling a whopping $15 million.

Of course, this amount isn't unheard of for certain performers in the McU. Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth both pulled in that same amount for their roles in Avengers: Infinity War earlier this year. Additionally, both actors earned that same amount with their solo films Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok, and will reportedly pull in another similar

Taika Waititi-Produced ‘The Breaker Upperers’ Is Your New Favorite Comedy [Lff Review]

It’s easy to think of Taika Waititi as an overnight success. It’s barely three years since the one-two punch of “What We Do In The Shadows” and “Hunt For The Wilderpeople” made him one of the hottest directors around, landed him a Marvel movie that helped him to reinvent one of the more difficult characters around in “Thor: Ragnarok,” and led to jobs involving “Star Wars,” Hitler and Michael Jackson’s monkey.

Scarlett Johansson Will Make $15 Million For Starring in Marvel's Black Widow

After appearing in six Marvel movies, Scarlett Johansson will finally get her standalone Black Widow movie and that comes with a pretty hefty paycheck. According to THR, the actress will make $15 million to star in the film.

According to the report, that salary equals what Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth have earned for playing Captain America and Thor in Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok, and the upcoming Avengers 4.

Scarlett Johansson has certainly earned the big pay day. Some people might even feel that it’s long over due. Of course, no one is making as much as Robert Downey Jr. who is making $50 million in the Marvel films he stars in!

Black Widow is deep into development and is set to be directed by Cate Shortland from a script written by Jac Schaeffer. This is a possible synopsis that was released by a Hollywood trade:

Captain Marvel Is The First Of A Seven-Picture McU Contract For Brie Larson

If ever there was any doubt that Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is being angled as the McU’s new mascot, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed today that the Oscar-winner has signed a seven-picture contract with Marvel Studios that will allow her on-screen heroine to appear across “multiple franchises.”

The tidbit itself was buried in a new financial report from THR in which the outlet claims to reveal Scarlett Johannson’s historic payday for the Black Widow solo movie.

Which brings us to McU newcomer Brie Larson. Her big-screen debut as Carol Danvers has been scheduled for early 2019 – March, to be specific – and at least according to THR’s scoop, it’ll mark the first of a seven-picture deal with Marvel Studios.

And Brie Larson, whose Oscar win for 2015’s Room figures into her deals, will be paid some $5 million for next year’s Captain Marvel movie

Scarlett Johansson Scores Huge $15M Payday For Black Widow Solo Movie

It’s going on eight years since Scarlett Johansson’s debut as Black Widow, and in that time, the sleeper agent formerly known as Natasha Romanova has grown into one of the undisputed pillars of Marvel’s franchise. An McU Mvp, if you will.

That loyalty has been rewarded with substantial roles across The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, while we fully expect Black Widow to enjoy more screentime during Avengers 4 than she did in the super-sized Infinity War – ditto for Chris Evans, who has since announced his retirement as Captain America.

Circling back to Black Widow, though, and The Hollywood Reporter brings word today that Scarlett Johansson has scored a huge $15M payday for the planned standalone movie – an eight-figure sum on par with what Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth earned on Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok, respectively.

We should stress that a Marvel spokesperson reached out

‘Bad Times at the El Royale’ Review: Retro Star-Studded Goof’s Quite the Gamble
Here’s the thing about Bad Times at the El Royale: When it’s good, it’s very, very good — and when it’s bad, this retro whatsit is a whole lot of awful. Punishingly long at 2 hours and 21 minutes, the movie is still crammed with enough depraved delights to make you consider checking in. Drew Goddard, whose 2012 directing debut with The Cabin in the Woods made fanboys of horror enthusiasts, is up to his old tricks: trap some shady types in a confined space. Then watch them squirm.

Scarlett Johansson Lands $15 Million Payday for Black Widow Movie

Scarlett Johansson Lands $15 Million Payday for Black Widow Movie
Stick around the Marvel Cinematic Universe long enough and you'll start to make real money.

Scarlett Johansson, who has appeared in six movies as Black Widow, is finally landing a $15 million payday for an upcoming stand-alone film centered on the Marvel superheroine, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

That salary is what Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth each earned for playing Captain America and Thor, respectively, in this year's Avengers: Infinity War. Evans and Hemsworth also nabbed that same $15 million payday for Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok, respectively, as well as the upcoming fourth Avengers film.

James Gunn Boards ‘Suicide Squad 2’ To Write And Possibly Direct
James Gunn has been hired by Warner Bros and DC to write with an eye to direct the next installment of the Suicide Squad franchise. It’s the first job he’s taken since he parted ways with Disney, which let him go from the lucrative Guardians of the Galaxy franchise in July in the wake of old controversial tweets that had been compiled by alt-right journalists and sent to Disney.

Warner Bros had director Gavin O’Connor attached to that film, but he is now engaged in directing Ben Affleck in the Brad Ingelsby-scripted drama Torrance, which is also at the studio. The studio has been in talks with Gunn to step in and develop this film, and the deal was made after he was settled out of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 by Disney.

Gunn’s departure was a shocking one, but numerous studio execs told Deadline that

Chris Hemsworth Shares New Men In Black Set Pic For Tessa Thompson’s Birthday

With last year’s Thor: Ragnarok, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson exhibited some strong comedic chemistry that apparently impressed someone at Sony enough to give these two a film to themselves. That film’s the next Men in Black movie, and based on the various set photos we’ve been seeing ever since production started on the sci-fi sequel, it looks like Hemsworth and Thompson get on pretty well behind the camera, too.

Just last Wednesday, for instance, Thompson celebrated her 35th birthday, and so Hemsworth took to Instagram with a new image of the duo in their Men in Black suits, captioning the photo with the message:

Happy Birthday to my #Mib partner in crime
