Trivia

For her role as Queen Ramonda, Angela Bassett underwent training with Corey Calliet on a special regime. Calliet created high-intensity interval training circuits for Bassett focused on her lower body, as "the fastest and the most effective way to burn fat": mountain climbers, jump squats, lunges, push-ups and high knees, in intervals of 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off, up to an hour at a time. Far from Perfect, Far from Terrible
19 February 2018 | by See all my reviews

To be honest, this movie was not the greatest.

I have seen much better from Marvel in the past. I came to the theater to watch this movie and be impressed by yet another one of Marvel's great masterpieces.

Sadly, I was let down by this mess. Mostly all of the fighting/action scenes were very dark and hard to see. It ruined the whole part of this movie being an action movie. Like, if this was going to be an action movie, they could've at least shown some of the action scenes better than they did. You could hardly see anything.

Also, the plot was really short. Why fit such a short plot into a 2 hour 15 minute movie? That's just not right. There just wasn't really enough things going on to successfully make this movie fit right and fulfill the time this movie was.

However, Marvel did manage to make a pretty OK and average movie. It had a few good plot twists and I thought the acting was actually pretty good, (despite what others think.) Although the comedy wasn't the best compared to the other Marvel movies we've seen in the past, it was again pretty average.

And, it's not like it really tortured me to sit through this movie. I pretty much enjoyed it 70% of the time, and my little sister and parents liked it, too.

7/10. A sadly average movie for Marvel. Hope "Avengers: Infinity War" works out better for them. "Black Panther" didn't really do much for anyone.
