Gorgeous New Ant-Man And The Wasp Posters Fly Online

Of the 2018 slate of McU movies, Ant-Man and the Wasp is receiving comparatively little attention to its companions. This isn’t really surprising, though, as Black Panther explores a fresh and exciting corner of the McU and properly introduces us to Chadwick Boseman’s cool-as-hell looking hero, and Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of nearly ten years of interlinked storytelling and looks to be the most maximalist superhero jamboree of all-time.

By comparison, the Ant-Man sequel follows on from one of Marvel Studios’ lowest grossing movies and right now, it’s difficult to tell what the film’s unique selling point will be. That being said, there are still many reasons to be excited for the project, one of which is seeing the titular double act working together. In fact, speaking in a recent interview, Paul Rudd touched on that exact thing, emphasizing that Ant-Man and the Wasp are

Lara Croft's Adventure Begins in Two New Tomb Raider TV Spots

During the Afc and Nfc Championship Games yesterday, Warner Bros. debuted two new TV spots for the highly-anticipated Tomb Raider, which hits theaters nationwide on March 16. These TV spots showcase the origin adventure undertaken by a young Lara Croft, played by Oscar winner Alicia Vikander, with footage highlighting her meeting with the villain Mathias Vogel (Walton Goggins). He claims to see several distinct qualities of her missing father in Lara herself, such as his intelligence and recklessness. One video also includes a scene where Lara admits that she's not a "superhero," although some of her death-defying actions say otherwise.

While this video game franchise has been around since 1996, this movie will be based on the video game reboot that launched in 2013, and followed a much younger Lara Croft as she goes on her first ever adventure, to find her missing father, who has been gone since she was a teenager.

More 'Lara Croft' "Tomb Raider"

Sneak Peek more new footage including TV spots, from the upcoming live-action "Tomb Raider" reboot, directed by Roar Uthaug, starring Oscar winner Alicia Vikander ("The Danish Girl") as 'Lara Croft', opening March 16, 2018:

"We see 'Lara' as a young woman," said director Uthaug, "...smart and capable but largely unfocused, and follow her on a dangerous journey...

"...that will push her to her limits in every sense and allow her to hone...

"...the 'skills' she needs to ultimately become who she was meant to be..."

Vikander trained as a ballet dancer at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm and the School of American Ballet in New York.

She began her professional acting career appearing in Swedish television series gaining recognition for her role as 'Josefin Björn-Tegebrandt' in the TV drama "Andra Avenyn" (2008–10).

Vikander made her feature film debut in "Pure" (2010), winning the 'Guldbagge Award' for 'Best Actress'.

In 2012 she portrayed 'Princess Ekaterina "Kitty" Alexandrovna Shcherbatskaya'.

‘Tomb Raider’ TV Spots Send a Dangerous Woman on an Adventure

Warner Bros.' Tomb Raider reboot has already sold me on checking out what looks like a fun, adventurous movie with a strong (in all forms of the word) female protagonist, embodied in Alicia Vikander's Lara Croft. I'm in. But while the studio's marketing for the film must continually remind audiences that, yes, the movie is due in theaters in less than two months, they're fast approaching the limit of revealing things too much or too often. If you are still undecided, maybe these two new TV spots will change your mind! Also starring Dominic West, Walton …

New ‘Tomb Raider’ Trailer Has Lara Going Full Croft

Warner Brothers has released the a new trailer for ‘Tomb Raider‘. Based on the best-selling series of video games with the same name, the film follows Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) as she attempts to uncover the mysterious disappearance of her father.

It’s Dominic West‘s Richard Croft that seems to be both the focus of the plot, but the trailer itself. The trailer showcases more of the action, which seems to be in line with what we’ve seen in the more recent video games, and less like the stylized action of the first stab at the franchise with ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider‘. And then there’s Walton Goggins, who by my estimation, is probably the best thing that the movie has going for it. Hopefully this film will finally be able to break the curse of lackluster video game adaptations, but only time will tell.

Here’s the

First Set Photos From Captain Marvel Surface and They Feature Nick Fury and Marie Hill

Just last week Samuel L. Jackson said that Nick Fury was going to have "another guys face" in Captain Marvel. Some set photos have now surfaced, and it looks like he's got the same face to me! The photo directly below features Nick Fury without his patch, but that is in-between takes while they are shooting. If you click on the link, you'll see plenty of images of Fury with his eye patch. The fact that Cobie Smulders' Marie Hill is with him, should tell you that whatever scenes they are shooting here are set in the present day. However, we do know that the majority of the story is set in the 1990s.

One of the photos shows the characters looking up to the sky where there is a huge green screen. Maybe this is where Captain Marvel is making her long-awaited return to the present day?

Lara Croft embarks on an adventure in new Tomb Raider TV spot

Following last week’s new trailer for Tomb Raider [watch it here], an action-packed TV spot has arrived online for Warner Bros.’ upcoming big screen reboot of the classic video game franchise starring Oscar winner Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft; check it out here…

Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen. Now a young woman of 21 without any real focus or purpose, Lara navigates the chaotic streets of trendy East London as a bike courier, barely making the rent, and takes college courses, rarely making it to class. Determined to forge her own path, she refuses to take the reins of her father’s global empire just as staunchly as she rejects the idea that he’s truly gone.

Advised to face the facts and move forward after seven years without him, even Lara can’t understand what drives her to

Dwayne Johnson Battles Monsters In Epic New Rampage Trailer

Tomb Raider isn’t the only video game adaptation coming down the pipeline this year. Rampage, which is based on Midway’s arcade classic, has officially set up shop at New Line and will star Dwayne Johnson as a primatologist named Davis Okoye, “a man who keeps people at a distance and shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth.”

Indeed, George is one of three animals to be grossly mutated as a result of a genetic experiment gone horribly, horribly wrong. A lizard and wolf are also in line to become hulking rage monsters, for those keeping track, and it seems that Johnson’s Okoye will have his hands full dealing with them all.

Or at least, that’s what this latest trailer teases. Though not terribly long, it promises a showdown between “big” and “bigger” as we

Lara Croft is a Dangerous Woman in Tomb Raider TV Spot

The new Tomb Raider movie is set to hit theaters in March, which means the marketing blitz for the film is basically under way, as evidenced by the new TV spot released by Warner Bros. Aside from a poster mishap in which it appeared as though star Alicia Vikander was approximately 80 percent neck, the feature film reboot has offered up a new adventure that looks remarkably like the video game reboot from 2013. That should at the very least earn this effort some points for attempting to give fans what they want to see.

Tomb Raider is a long-running franchise of action-adventure video games centered around a character named Lara Croft, an English archaeologist who is one of the better-known video game protagonists out there. Trailer Watch: Alicia Vikander Embraces Her Destiny in “Tomb Raider”

Tomb Raider

“At some point we have to face up to who we are and who we’re meant to be,” Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) is told in a new trailer for “Tomb Raider.” The bike courier is being urged to accept the fact that her father is gone. The adventurer went missing seven years ago and is presumed dead. Lara decides that she’s meant to be the one who finds answers, and goes in search of his last-known destination, a mysterious island that’s incredibly difficult to access.

“There was more to my life than business deals and boardrooms,” her father (Dominic West) reveals in a video message he left for her. He explains that it’s up to her to stop a global genocide. Turns out Lara is meant to be someone who saves the world.

Angelina Jolie previously led a “Tomb Raider” franchise, and starred in

How ‘Wonder’s’ Makeup Effects Artist Transformed Jacob Tremblay

Based on the New York Times best-seller, Lionsgate’s “Wonder” chronicles the story of Auggie Pullman, a boy born with facial differences who enters a mainstream elementary school for the first time. Jacob Tremblay — who blew audiences away in “Room” (2015) — stars as the 9-year-old with Treacher-Collins syndrome, which results in some bones and tissue in the face being undeveloped. Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson play his parents.

Special makeup effects artist Arjen Tuiten was tasked with transforming Tremblay into Pullman. At 37, Tuiten is well-known for having created the likes of Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent, the creatures in “Pan’s Labyrinth” and the characters in Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.” David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of production company Mandeville Films approached Tuiten to do the special makeup effects two years before shooting began. They wanted him because the job was specific and complex.

“This type of makeup is extremely hard to pull off, especially when it

How the Tomb Raider Reboot Can Outdo Its Predecessors

A new Tomb Raider film is on its way to theaters, and from the looks of it, it’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen from the franchise, mixing and matching from the plots and characters of the video games Tomb Raider: A Survivor is Born and its sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider. The games — and likely the film — revolve around a young Lara Croft (played by Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander), learning to become a capable survivor and an explorer of ancient tombs, albeit a bit of a reckless one.

It’s incredibly rare for a video game film adaptation to truly succeed, and considering an an adaption of Tomb Raider has already been done, it makes it all the more important for this reboot to offer audiences and fans of the video games something special and true to Lara Croft’s iconic character.
