To give the effect that the Terminator's time portal burned a chunk out of a truck, scotch light is painted onto the rim and has light concentrated on it to give it a heated glow. The same method is used for the introduction of the T-1000. Note the blooper here in the form of the inconsistent, non-uniform cut on the leftward fence pole. See more »
(at around 1h 19 mins) When Sarah entered Dyson's home shooting this would've woken his daughter while her parents and brother are detained by Sarah she could easily called 911. However, she's just a child and most possibly would be scared and hiding somewhere. See more »

The Ultimate Edition DVD accidentally omits part of the theatrical version: the first 23 seconds of Sarah's dream-recounting tape, which is all in a TV closeup. It starts that scene at the wide shot where Sarah says it's always the same. The more widely available Extreme DVD, which also uses branching, does not have this mistake. The original USA DVD from 1997 included the correct theatrical version as well. See more »
This superb sequel surpasses the excellent original in every department and quite simply you won't see a better action film. Set 15 years after the original Arnie may return as the good Terminator trying to protect John Connor but he's a redundant piece of scrap metal compared to the T-1000.
The opening hour and the last half hour is absolutely breathtaking with action sequences that still remain unsurpassed. Their's also a wonderful piece of storytelling 3/4 of the way through where Dyson relises the terrifying consequences of the project he's neglecting his family for.
The performances are memorable particularly Linda Hamilton's Sara Connor and simply put, they'll never make a better action film.
