Ratings: The CW’s "Roswell, New Mexico" Premiere Is Pretty Deserted

Ratings: The CW’s
If the truth is out there, it’s probably not watching The CW’s “Roswell, New Mexico” either.

Tuesday’s series premiere was the lowest-rated and least-watched hour on the English-language broadcast networks. That’s not entirely shocking given the channel and time slot, but it’s also not a particularly good start.

Back to their old ways, NBC and CBS split Tuesday as “This Is Us” and “NCIS” dominated primetime in their respective ways. That means NBC was No. 1 among adults 18-49 and CBS topped total viewers.

Julia Roberts Won't Return for 'Homecoming' Season 2

Julia Roberts Won't Return for 'Homecoming' Season 2
It's official: Julia Roberts' time in front of the cameras on Amazon's Homecoming has come to an end.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Roberts' initial deal for Homecoming — the star's first TV series regular role — was for a one-season commitment based purely on the Amazon drama's creative storyline. That said, Roberts will still remain involved as an executive producer alongside showrunner Sam Esmail on the Universal Cable Productions series that landed at Amazon with a two-season commitment.

It's unclear if there will be any other major cast departures for season two or if ...

‘Trial and Error’ Canceled After Two Seasons at NBC

‘Trial and Error’ Canceled After Two Seasons at NBC
Trial & Error” is officially done.

The true crime spoof had effectively been canceled last year when NBC did not exercise its option to renew the show for a third season. Studio Warner Bros. TV had been trying to find it a new network home, but that search has come up short.

The series took place in the fictional town of East Peck, with each season focusing on a different murder case. John Lithgow starred in Season 1 as a professor accused of killing his wife, while Kristin Chenoweth starred in Season 2 as a socialite accused of killing her husband.

The Five Best Rachel Weisz Movies of Her Career

Rachel Weisz is the kind of actress that seems to make some folks feel bad if they give her any negative criticisms. Critics being what they are however it’s easy to see how they might cast aspersions and then move on without thinking another thing about it. But in all honesty she’s not a comedian, though she can play up funny scenes in a very calm and measured way, and she’s not entirely the type that seems like she can handle action scenes, but she’s held her own throughout her career thus far. In short she’s someone that can do

TV Review: ‘Fyre Fraud’ and ‘Fyre’

It seems in retrospect unavoidable that the week of release for a highly-anticipated documentary about a scammer began with an attention-grabbing stunt.

On Monday, in advance of the planned Friday drop of Netflix’s “Fyre,” Hulu executed a surprise release of its own “Fyre Fraud”; both films assay the failed 2017 gathering Fyre Festival, a would-be Woodstock in the Bahamas that fell apart just as the “influencers” who’d paid heavily to be there arrived. Both films provide compelling portraits of Billy McFarland, the infamous Fyre impresario whose ability to come up with schemes to separate his peers from their money

In this exclusive sneak peek from Thursday’s episode (NBC, 10/9c), Benson and Peter Stone spend some of their nearly non-existent free time hanging out at a playground with Olivia’s son. As they play baseball, Noah is an absolute joy to be around. He smiles! He laughs! He doesn’t sass Olivia! But that’s not always the case, his mom notes ruefully.

10 Things You Didn’t Know about Owen Wilson

It’s interesting to think that Owen Wilson never wanted to be an actor, especially since he’s so good at what he does. He’s the kind of guy that’s been in comedies and dramas alike, and even horror to be honest, and he’s been great at every role. But something about writing has called to him more than anything throughout his career and while he can say that he’s taken to acting in some regards there are still films out there that he wishes he could have helped to write. A lot of times you can possibly find actors that will

Grey's Anatomy Is Devoting an Entire Season 15 Episode to [Spoiler]

Another longtime Grey’s Anatomy character is about to get the standalone episode treatment. Showrunner Krista Vernoff tells TVLine that one of the three bonus episodes recently commissioned by ABC will be “Amelia-centric.”

Earlier this month, the network announced that it was expanding Grey’s Anatomy‘s current 15th season from 22 to 25 episodes. But as Vernoff reveals, the order was — in her mind — just for one additional episode. “I knew for a long time that we were making 24,” she explains. “We’ve been making 24 episodes a year for many years now. ABC asked about [doing one more] and I spent a week thinking

TV Review: ‘Deadly Class’ on SyFy

TV Review: ‘Deadly Class’ on SyFy
High school, according to TV and movies, is either the best or worst thing that can happen to a person. It’s almost always depicted as the most fun a kid can have, or a horrifying hellhole from which there’s no escape. “Deadly Class” is decidedly in the latter camp — and despite its edgy attempts otherwise, doesn’t particularly find a new way to show it.

Adapted from Rick Remender’s comic book series and produced by the Russo brothers, “Deadly Class” travels back to 1987 to tell the unlucky story of Marcus (Benjamin Wadsworth), an orphan who gets recruited

Christina Ricci, Hollywood Contrarian, Doesn’t Care What You Think Of Her

Christina Ricci, Hollywood Contrarian, Doesn’t Care What You Think Of Her
Christina Ricci knows people judge her. She grew up in the public eye as the Goth girl, the alternative chick, the youthful indie darling. For her, those tacit critiques just provide the excuse to execute another hard turn.

“I’m a natural contrarian. So anytime someone tries to tell me what I am, I immediately change and I’m something else,” she said. “I can’t help it; I’m a total asshole in that respect. I never give people that. Sometimes it’s terrible and I should really just allow people to view me the way they want to, but I have a real desire and drive to define myself and to not be defined by others.”

As a child star, she was best known for her role as the malevolent Wednesday Addams in “The Addams Family.” In her teen years, she demonstrated a fondness for outrageous comments about

Trial & Error Officially Cancelled

Court has officially adjourned for Trial & Error. Sources confirm to TVLine that NBC has formally passed on ordering a third season of the low-rated mockumentary comedy, and Warner Bros.’ efforts to find the show a new home have proved unsuccessful.

The deadline for the Peacock Net to renew the series passed back in August, although the network stopped short of declaring the show dead. Regardless, Warner Bros. began shopping the sitcom to other platforms, to no avail. A Warner Bros. insider, however, says the studio remains open to resurrecting the series, should a suitor step forward.
