Arya Stark had it right.

HBO announced on Tuesday (via the teaser of recycled footage below) that Game of Thrones‘ eighth and final season will arrive in April of 2019 — just as cast member Maisie Williams said in an interview wayyy back in January.

Previously, the only official time frame came from HBO chief Casey Bloys, who this summer narrowed it down to the “first half” of 2019. Every season of Game of Thrones has gotten underway in April, except for Season 3 (which started on March 31) and Season 7 (which premiered July 16).

Thrones‘ Season 7 finale aired August 27, 2017.

Back in January, Bloys told TVLine

10 TV Series Whose Legacies Have Been Forever Tarnished by Scandal
As hard as it is to break up with a beloved TV series, we’ve had to do it over and over again in recent years — and not because the content of the shows in question had changed but because backstage scandals had made it impossible to tune in any longer without feeling icked out, guilty or both.

Think about it. Will you ever again be able to watch Cliff Huxtable dispense fatherly advice on The Cosby Show without remembering that Bill Cosby was found guilty of sexual assault? Could you have kept enjoying Louie after it came out that

‘Walking Dead’ Ratings Steady in First Post-Rick Episode

‘Walking Dead’ Ratings Steady in First Post-Rick Episode
The ratings for “The Walking Dead” were even this week compared to last week’s episode, which saw the departure of Andrew Lincoln.

This week’s episode of the AMC series drew a 2.0 rating in adults 18-49 and 5.4 million viewers. That is down a scant few percent from the 2.1 the show drew last week and even with its total viewers haul. In Live+3, last week’s episode ultimately grew to a 3.2 rating and 8 million viewers.

The fact that the show’s ratings have been relatively stable the past few weeks are no doubt welcome news at AMC, as “The Walking Dead

‘Deadpool’ Creator Rob Liefeld: Why We Loved Stan Lee (Guest Column)
Stan Lee. Where do you even start? Seriously.

Growing up as a kid in the 1970s, Stan Lee’s name was in every Marvel comic book I pulled off the Spinner Rack. “Stan Lee Presents…” was at the forefront of every dynamic splash page that opened any Marvel publication. He was a larger-than-life presence, his image drawn into the actual comics, and at times, as a caricature illustrated atop the masthead of his popular “Stan’s Soapbox,” where he wrote about a wide variety of topics outside of comics. Regularly featured in the back pages, Stan’s Soapbox exposed us

S— just got real on The Voice. In Monday’s jam-packed episode, all 24 members of Teams Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine sang for a spot in the Top 12 — or, rather, the Top 13 since a contestant from The Comeback Stage (probably Lynnea Moorer) would also be winning a place in the lineup on Tuesday.

Prior to watching the performances, I imagined that the vocalists who’d advance would be (in alphabetical order): Dave Fenley, Natasia GreyCloud, Patrique Fortson, Sarah Grace, Kennedy Holmes, Kirk Jay, Kymberli Joye, Chris Kroeze, Michael Lee, Radha, SandyRedd and Reagan Strange. But then,
