Robert Downey Jr. says Avengers: Endgame ending is “the best eight minutes” of the entire McU
We’re just days out from the release of Avengers: Endgame, with Marvel Studios set to deliver not only the conclusion to Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but an ending to the entire 22-movie ‘Infinity Saga’ – as well as setting the stage for the next chapter in the beloved superhero franchise.

As such, expectations for Endgame are through the roof, and Robert Downey Jr. appears to be very confident that the film will deliver, with the Iron Man star telling The Upcoming that: “The last eight minutes of [Avengers: Endgame] are maybe the best eight minutes in the entire history of the whole run of them, in a way, because everyone’s involved.”

Whether those final eight minutes will focus on the climactic battle against Thanos, or perhaps some kind of The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King-style endings as the torch is passed to a

‘Homecoming’: Could It Be a Beyoncé vs. Taylor Swift Rematch at the Emmys?

‘Homecoming’: Could It Be a Beyoncé vs. Taylor Swift Rematch at the Emmys?
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter blessed the internet and the world on April 17, releasing a new Netflix film documenting her two 2018 Coachella performances, plus additional footage offering a glimpse into the iconic musician’s collaborative creative process. And indeed, it was very good.

The concerts – designed to celebrate the lasting legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities – were already guaranteed crowdpleasers, garnering more than 43 million views on YouTube in the last year, but what remains to be seen is whether or not the TV Academy will be similarly smitten with Beyoncé’s latest foray into the television sphere.

It’s not that the former Destiny’s Child star is unfamiliar with the Emmys. Beyoncé has four previous Emmy nominations, including nods for her 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show, 2015 HBO “On The Run Tour” concert film with husband Jay-z, as well as nominations for Variety Special and Direction of a Variety Special for 2016’s HBO visual album “Lemonade.

‘The Curse of La Llorona’ Leads Slow Easter Weekend at the Box Office
New Line’s horror pic “The Curse of La Llorona” is summoning a $25 million debut at the domestic box office, leading a quiet Easter weekend before Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame” hits theaters on April 26.

The James Wan-produced “La Llorona,” playing in 3,372 theaters, was a hit with Hispanic audiences, who accounted for nearly 50% of ticket sales. The R-rated film, budgeted at only $9 million, marked the directorial debut of Michael Chaves, who will next helm Wan’s “The Conjuring 3” at Warner Bros.

Overall, Easter weekend is looking scary bad compared to last year’s Easter frame (down 22%). t’s also the worst Easter frame since 2005. Box office observers feel the low numbers are simply a result of auds holding out for the “Avengers” next weekend.

Warner Bros.’ “Shazam!” held strong in second place with a $17.2 million outing. The Zach Levi-starrer has now collected $120 million in the U.S.

Academy Responds to Roman Polanski: ‘Procedures Were Fair and Reasonable’
Update: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has responded to a lawsuit from director Roman Polanski that claimed he was unfairly expelled from the organization behind the Oscars.

“The procedures taken to expel Mr. Polanski were fair and reasonable. The Academy stands behind its decision as appropriate,” a spokesperson said.

The Academy’s statement comes after Polanski filed suit against the non-profit this week, demanding reinstatement after he was ousted last May.

The suit, filed in the state of California, says the Academy did not follow proper protocol in dismissing him nearly a year ago. The Academy did so “in accordance with the organization’s Standards of Conduct,” they said at the time, adding their leadership expected members to “uphold the Academy’s values of respect for human dignity.”

Polanski’s suit says the Academy’s expulsion decision “is not supported by findings, and the Academy’s findings are not supported by evidence.

That Time Rebel Wilson Called Anne Hathaway an ‘Animatronic C— Tease’ (Video)
Rebel Wilson and Anne Hathaway tossed aside any urge to be ladylike and went right into potty-mouthed name-calling when asked to ad-lib for their upcoming film “The Hustle.”

While on “The Graham Norton Show” Friday promoting the female-centered remake of the 1988 comedy “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” Wilson said that there was a lot of improvising during filming, which she and Hathaway really began to enjoy.

“Annie especially,” Wilson said. “She enjoys when I, like, insult her.”

“It’s true. You’re really good at it,” Hathaway acknowledged. “My favorite is when you called me an animatronic c— tease.”

Wilson nodded, “Yeah. On that day, you really looked like her.”

Happy 4/20, Here Is Wiz Khalifa on a Pink Flamingo Pool Toy
Wiz Khalifa saluted his fans on 4/20 by releasing a new music video for his song “Taylor” along with a surprise mixtape. All you need is a bikini, a pool floatie, some night-swimming and – obvious yet crucial – a massive joint.

‘Gotham': Camren Bicondova to Exit Catwoman Role Before Series Finale
Gotham” star Camren Bicondova announced on Twitter Friday that her time as Catwoman has come to an end, as she will not appear in next week’s series finale.

“It’s important to me that I’m the one to tell you this because it was a choice that I made, through a lot of thoughts, prayer, and time

“I wanted to give Selina Kyle as much respect as possible. Some will say that giving her respect would include seeing the character through to the end of the show, which I understand,” Bicondova wrote.

“But I firmly believe that part of leaving a legacy and being part of a legacy means knowing when to pass the torch to someone else. I was blessed to be the vessel for Selina Kyle for her formative teen years, and it only felt right to give someone else the torch for her adult self.

Michael Che Lashes Out at ‘Mediocre Ass’ Writer Who Criticized ‘SNL’ Co-Star Colin Jost
Michael Che lashed out at a writer for the entertainment website Uproxx who criticized his “Saturday Night Live” co-star Colin Jost as the “epitome of white-male mediocrity.”

In a series of since-deleted story posts on Instagram that have been screencapped and have spread on social media, Che ripped into Uproxx columnist Steven Hyden whom he bizarrely suggesed has sex with dogs.

Che riffs about reading several fake news stories involving a “regular mediocre ass white dude, probably like a writer or something.”

“I don’t think it’s Steven Hyden, but that name is stuck in my head for some reason,” Che wrote. “But this guy sucks off stray dogs and rescue dogs. And like, nobody knows why.”

Signs of Solidarity and Strain Emerge as Week 2 of WGA-Talent Agency Standoff Begins

Hundreds of WGA members rallied solidly behind their union last week as the industry grappled with uncertainties spurred by the sudden break between writers and their talent agency representatives.

But as the standoff heads into its second week, signs of strain among some WGA members are beginning to emerge. Shalom Auslander, author and creator of the Showtime dramedy “Happyish,” penned a scathing “Official Coerced Termination Letter” to his reps at CAA that blasted the WGA for what Auslander describes as thuggish tactics in forcing members to fire their agents.

The letter, which is circulating in writer circles, likened Auslander’s

Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-ca) posted a video on Facebook and Twitter Thursday that he claimed showed him crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. But there’s one catch: the border was actually almost 100 feet away from where Hunter was, Customs and Border Patrol said.

“So here is the grand border wall in Yuma, Arizona,” Hunter said in the video, pointing to a waist-high barrier he could easily step over. “This is what we expect to stop people, transnational terrorists, families, all illegal aliens from coming across the border. This is it.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren Calls for Trump to Be Impeached

On Friday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren made it abundantly clear what she thinks should happen now that the redacted version of the Mueller report has been released—”impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States” should begin.

The 2020 Democratic presidential candidate first took to Twitter to make her thoughts known:

Mueller put the next step in the hands of Congress: “Congress has authority to prohibit a President’s corrupt use of his authority in order to protect the integrity of the administration of justice.” The correct process for exercising that authority is impeachment.
