Humans' is no more.

Writer and executive producer Sam Vincent announced the news on Twitter that the show, which aired on AMC and the U.K.’s Channel 4, would not be returning for a fourth season.

“In this age of unprecedented choice and competition, we can have no complaints,” he wrote, adding that he and fellow exec producer Jonathan Brackley felt “gutted of course, but we were so lucky.”

"Game of Thrones": Plastic Water Bottle Spotted in Series Finale

  • Variety
Two weeks after a rogue coffee cup made its way into an episode of “Game of Thrones,” another modern-day refreshment popped up in Westeros, this time in the form of a plastic water bottle.

During one of the most important scenes in Sunday’s farewell episode, in which “The Iron Throne” was decided, a water bottle can be seen tucked behind Sir Samwell Tarly’s foot.

The coffee gaffe, which occurred during the fourth episode of season 8, was later edited out of future broadcasts. HBO also issued a mock apology:

“The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake,” HBO said in a statement. “Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”

It’s unclear if the mistaken water

"Game of Thrones" Series Finale: What the Critics Are Saying

[This story contains spoilers for the series finale of HBO's Game of Thrones, "The Iron Throne."]

Game of Thrones has closed the book on its series, wrapping with a super-sized episode that saw a new ruler ascend to the now-metaphorical throne of Westeros. The eighth and final season was contentious for both fans and critics, with many taking issue with the introduction of certain plot elements and the breakneck pacing of the season, which consisted of just six episodes.

But after eight years, epic battles and plenty of death and destruction, a new monarch was crowned: King Bran the Broken....

“The cast and crew have worked so hard to create something original, and I only ask that everyone avoids revealing anything that would prevent later audiences from experiencing the film in the same way,” he added.

Netflix Again Blows Past HBO, Others as No. 1 Pick for ‘Best Original Programming,’ Survey Finds

Netflix continues to wear the crown as having the “best original programming” among premium TV and over-the-top subscription services, according to new research from Morgan Stanley.

About 40% of consumers surveyed said the streamer is the No. 1 outlet on this front, up from 39% last year. The next highest scoring service was HBO, at 11%, which was down from 14% on the firm’s 2018 survey. The research comes out a day after HBO aired the series finale of “Game of Thrones” — which has rekindled questions about how much momentum HBO may lose now that its most popular show in recent years has concluded.
