‘The Twilight Zone’: Jordan Peele To Host & Narrate CBS All Access Reboot
Academy Award winner Jordan Peele is about to enter another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound — but of mind. Peele is set as host and narrator of The Twilight Zone reboot on CBS All Access.

CBS announced last year that it would revive The Twilight Zone for streaming service CBS All Access with Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films.

The Get Out director will explore similar creepy dimensions like the “sunken place” in the forthcoming CBS All Access series, which will be a modern reimagining of the original, which premiered in 1959 and continued through 1964. Creator Rod Serling also served as original host and narrator — and he had a very distinct and memorable voice. In the clip of the host announcement below, you’ll hear a mix of Serling and Peele’s voices doing the iconic opening intro.

“Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary

‘Bond 25’ Gets Cary Joji Fukunaga As New Director For 007 Daniel Craig
Eon Productions and MGM have set Cary Joji Fukunaga as the new director who’ll mount James Bond 25 with Daniel Craig in the starring role. Filming will begin March for a worldwide release date of February 14, 2020. MGM will distribute domestically, and Universal releases the film in international territories, after it won a hotly contested auction last May.

Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and the studio met numerous helmers after Danny Boyle dropped out over creative differences, this after they sparked to the filmmaker’s concept and hired his Trainspotting screenwriter John Hodge to write it. Sources said that it was a big creative swing, and they mutually decided it would be better to go back to the project they planned to make with venerable 007 scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

Fukunaga directed the critically acclaimed Beasts of No Nation for Netflix.

The producers just confirmed Fukunaga’s hire.

Fukunaga won an Emmy in 2014 for helming the entire first season (eight episodes) of “True Detective” and giving the crime series a cinematic look. More recently, he directed multiple episodes of Netflix’s “Maniac,” a new half-hour comedy show starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill.

Inside Mumford & Sons’ Wildly Experimental Fourth Album ‘Delta’

Inside Mumford & Sons’ Wildly Experimental Fourth Album ‘Delta’
“What is it that Mumford & Sons do?” asks the band’s keyboard player Ben Lovett. “That’s what we are searching for. I really hope this record will continue to broaden the sense of what that means.”

On their third album, 2015’s Wilder Mind, Mumford & Sons traded banjo and acoustic strumming for alt-rock guitars and arena-sized choruses. Going electric divided their fan base (“Although we didn’t have people shouting ‘Judas,’” notes guitarist and banjo player Winston Marshall.) The move made the band even more comfortable in the studio. “It

Roy Moore Should Probably Sit the Next Few Plays Out

Roy Moore’s Alabama Senate candidacy sank last year after the rootin’, tootin’ judge was bombarded with allegations of sexual misconduct just over a month before the election. Not surprisingly, he has some thoughts on Brett Kavanaugh. The man responsible for a Democrat now holding a Senate seat in one of the reddest states in the nation recently called into the One America News Network to sound off on what he perceives as unfair treatment of conservative candidates. Moore, who never officially conceded in the Georgia Senate race he lost last December,

Awards Shows Suck: Here’s How to Fix Them

Awards Shows Suck: Here’s How to Fix Them
It’s a great American tradition: the Hollywood award show. Until lately, it seemed like an indestructible cultural institution — every year, the red carpets get rolled out, the stars stumble into the flashbulbs, reveal who they’re wearing, statues get handed out, tears get shed, champagne gets spilled, hilariously pompous speeches get made. Some of us love show-biz award ceremonies, even the most pointless and ridiculous ones.

But it’s a TV ritual that’s definitely reached a crisis point, in terms of ratings and relevance. The recent Emmy debacle

Bond 25: Why Cary Joji Fukunaga Is a Risky Bet

Bond 25: Why Cary Joji Fukunaga Is a Risky Bet
By hiring Cary Joji Fukunaga to direct the next James Bond movie, the producers of the 007 franchise are signaling that they want to shake up the spy series.

It’s a stunning and risky move, one that surprised executives and filmmakers around Hollywood. When Daniel Craig, and Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli parted ways with Danny Boyle over creative differences, the conventional wisdom was that they would pick a safer and more pliable choice. Names like Yann Demange (“’71”) and David Mackenzie (“Hell or High Water”) were bandied about and considered, and either would have made sense. They’re stylists, but also directors who could be counted on to color inside the lines.

That’s not Fukunaga. The American director (the first Yank to oversee a Bond film) made a name for himself directing edgy movies such as “Sin Nombre” and “Beasts of No Nation,” as well as
