Ben Affleck Explains Why He’s Done Playing Batman: ‘I Couldn’t Crack It’
Ben Affleck is hanging up his cape and saying goodbye to Batman.

In an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Thursday, the actor explained why he will not be returning as the Caped Crusader in the 2021 film “The Batman,” to be written and directed by Matt Reeves. Affleck is retiring from the role after playing Bruce Wayne in only three movies: “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “Suicide Squad,” and “Justice League.”

“I tried to direct a version of it and worked with a really good screenwriter, but just couldn’t come up with a version, I couldn’t crack it,” Affleck told Kimmel. “So I thought it was time to let someone else take a shot at it. They got some really good people, so I’m excited.”

Affleck also tweeted about the decision to leave the film he was originally slated to direct and star in on Jan. 30. “Excited

Here's Why You Can Basically Count on a Third Happy Death Day Movie
When you consider the fact that Happy Death Day was basically an instant hit that quickly earned a second movie, it's easy to see how the film's sequel, Happy Death Day 2U, is set up for success. After all, the insane trailer promises more insane deaths, plenty of laughs, and more than a few scares. All things considered, it's hard to imagine a timeline (ha) in which writer-director Christopher Landon doesn't get the chance to make a third movie. You may think I'm getting ahead of myself, and on some level, you'd be right. But that's only because Universal hasn't officially signed off on a trilogy. That said, there are a few indicators that are giving us a lot of hope.

The main reason we're pretty confident about a third movie is, well, Landon wants to make one. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the creator of the universe said

Ja Rule Just Threatened to Have Another Fyre Festival, Because We Haven't Suffered Enough

Ja Rule Just Threatened to Have Another Fyre Festival, Because We Haven't Suffered Enough
When a movie receives terrible reviews, typically it doesn't get green-lighted for a sequel. That's why we were never tortured by Gigli 2, or a follow-up to The Book of Henry. But apparently Ja Rule either doesn't believe in this logical process, or is out of his damn mind (or both), because he recently teased a second installment of the worst "luxury" music festival that never was: Fyre Fest.

As a reminder, festival-goers - some of whom had paid thousands for their tickets - arrived at the festival site in the Bahamas and discovered a barren, unorganized, trash-covered space strewn with Fema tents that were leftover from the devastation of Hurricane Michael. The doomed event was so bad that it not only inspired two documentaries about the whole disaster but also destroyed the livelihoods of innocent bystanders and landed the festival's chief fraudster, Billy McFarland, in prison.

Ja Rule, who collaborated on Fyre Fest with McFarland,

Don't Worry: Taylor Schilling Is Just as Horrified as You Are About The Prodigy's Dog Scene
Having spent six years playing Piper Kerman on Orange Is the New Black, it should surprise no one that Taylor Schilling has experienced her fair share of unpleasant moments on screen. For instance, as a Litchfield inmate, she has her teeth shattered, finds herself starting a used panties business, and is held down while getting a swastika burned into her arm. And yet much of that pales in comparison to what Schilling's character must endure in The Prodigy.

In the Nicholas McCarthy-directed horror film, the Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated actress plays Sarah, a mother whose genius-level young son, Miles (It's Jackson Robert Scott), begins to exhibit disturbing behavior the older he gets. Is he suffering from some sort of mental disorder? Or is something more sinister at work, like a demonic possession? Sarah struggles with her instinct to love and protect her son while also fearing for her and her husband's safety,

Um, Happy Death Day Was Originally Supposed to Have a Completely Different Ending
With Happy Death Day 2U finally in theaters, we're running back into the open arms of our favorite badass heroine, Tree Gelbman. This time around, Tree isn't just trying to save herself from certain death, but must also try to save all her friends from an uncertain fate that involves even more gruesome deaths and, yes, plenty of laughs. Ahead of the second film's release, I sat down with star Jessice Rothe to talk about her incredible character and what makes the franchise so special. In that interview, though, I actually learned an absolutely shocking fact about the film that started it all: Tree was supposed to die at the end.

I know, you're like, "Big deal. She dies like 100 times in the whole movie." But I mean Tree initially was supposed to die permanently. Rothe broke it down for me during our little chat. "I make it to Tuesday the 19th.
