Brie Larson Goes Back to the '90s in the First Epic Trailer For Captain Marvel

Brie Larson Goes Back to the '90s in the First Epic Trailer For Captain Marvel
Are you guys ready? Because the first trailer for Captain Marvel is here, and there's a lot to unpack. Brie Larson pays the titular superhero - aka Carol Danvers - whose story is set in the '90s (that Blockbuster scene!) and costars with a very, very young looking Samuel L. Jackson. Although it's an origin story, it seems we'll be picking up with Carol far after she's become one of the galaxy's most powerful superheroes who just might save the Avengers.

Judging from the voiceover in the trailer, she doesn't seem to have her memories from being a human, so we'll be going back and seeing her journey from fighter pilot to intergalactic badass. Watch the first trailer above, and then check out who else is joining Larson and Jackson in the star-studded cast before the film explodes into theaters on March 8, 2019.

Everyone's Talking About Scarlett Johansson's Back Tattoo - but It's Not Actually New
In case you missed it, Scarlett Johansson stepped out at the 2018 Emmy Awards with her large back tattoo on display - but it's not the first time we've seen it! Scarlett had her ink on display both at the Met Gala and the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War earlier this year, but somehow no one's been talking about it until now.

Her tattoo, which appears to be roses on a vine, could very well be a tribute to her daughter, Rose. The flowers creep up the center of her back, next to her lamb tattoo that she's had for a while. The first official glimpse we got of the new ink was actually at the American Museum of Natural History's 2017 Museum Gala in November, but she was spotted on set for Avengers: Infinity War last August with the tattoo. However, in June 2017, at the premiere of Rough Night, Scarlett's

The Last Year of Carrie Underwood's Life Was Harder Than Anyone Realized

The Last Year of Carrie Underwood's Life Was Harder Than Anyone Realized
When Carrie Underwood spoke about 2017 being "a very soul-searching year for me," she knew people would reach for the obvious. That fall. The one that saw her tripping on a stone step outside her Franklin, Tenn. estate and breaking her tumble with her face.  And it was bad. Metal plate in her wrist bad. Some 40 to 50 stitches holding together her face bad. Spending nights worrying that her famous visage may never appear the same way bad. Certainly bad enough that one could imagine it inspiring the lyrics to her new single "Cry Pretty," a track in which she sings, "I'm pretty good at keeping it together / I hold my composure, for worse or for better / So I apologize if you...

We Can't Get Enough of Merritt Wever's Charmingly Awkward Emmys Acceptance Speech
Giving an acceptance speech at an award show might seem like an easy task - actors should be used to saying lines in front of people, right? - but there are always a few onstage surprises at the microphone come award season. While some stars, like Darren Criss for instance, came to the Emmys prepared with fully memorized speeches on Monday night, others, like Regina King, seemed genuinely shocked by their wins. When Merritt Wever took the stage to accept the trophy for outstanding supporting actress in a limited series for her work in Godless, it was clear she fell into the latter camp, and we wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

The actress, who wowed critics with her performance as Mary Agnes in the Netflix Western, seemed to have written down a speech on a piece of paper that she took up with her but admitted that her
