The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel: The (Likely) Real-Life Inspirations Behind Declan Howell
In The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's second season, our intrepid heroine Midge Maisel faces down that dilemma that's been haunting creative professionals forever: What is the cost of creativity and art? While some of her conflict stems from her wild, complicated family situation and her tangled love life, she's also questioning how much she's willing to put into her career, even at the expense of other aspects of her life. That inner conflict is put on full display in the seventh episode of the season, where Midge meets Declan Howell (played by The Man in the High Castle's Rufus Sewell), a drunken but brilliant painter.

Declan's role in the story is fairly simple: to represent, both for Midge and for viewers, the dark, lonely, and sometimes brutal side of being an artist. He creates spectacular art, but his pursuits cost him his home life and his family, leaving him alone in

In early March, the musician posted a photo of himself with a bloodied lip after a reported physical altercation with his eldest son Brandon. The Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed to E! News at the time that they did in fact respond to Tommy's Calabasas home at roughly 10:50 p.m. on March 5 for an assault call. "My heart is broken," Tommy wrote in the since-deleted post. This Theory About Mary Poppins and Bert's Relationship Will Completely Change Your Childhood

  • Popsugar
Most of us are familiar with the classic story of Mary Poppins, but what about the nanny's life before she tended to the Banks children? While little is known about her past, it's pretty clear that Mary has been to Cherry Tree Lane before. Not only is she familiar with the town, but she's awfully friendly with the chimney sweep, Bert. Though the state of Mary and Bert's relationship has always been a little fuzzy, a popular theory has recently resurfaced ahead of Mary Poppins Returns explaining their interesting bond: Mary Poppins (played by Julie Andrews in the original and Emily Blunt in the sequel) was actually Bert's nanny when he was a kid.

In the very beginning of the film, Bert sets the story by telling the audience, "Wind's in the East/Mist coming in/like something is brewing/about to begin./Can't put me finger/on what lies

Weekly monsters are just the start of what we're in for on Legacies.  So far, the CW supernatural series has been introducing one or two new monsters each episode, all of which are after that mysterious knife that Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) stole in the very first episode, but there's a much bigger plan for what's going on in and around the Salvatore School.  Starting tonight and continuing into the next episode in 2019, showrunner Julie Plec says some big stuff is coming, particularly related to that knife and its connection to Malivore that's drawing all the supernatural creatures to it.  "We can look forward to some big, huge mythology bomb drops, big shake-ups in the next...

Adapted from Jenny Han's novel of the same name, the movie rapidly developed a massive fan base, becoming one of Netflix's most-viewed movies of all time. Knowing that Han had written two more books detailing Lara Jean's romantic misadventures, fans immediately clamored for a sequel. While it hasn't been made 100 percent official yet, Netflix seems to be very close to confirming a sequel, presumably based on Han's follow-up novel, P.S. I Still Love You.

Before you rewatch the movie a second (or millionth) time or find another rom-com to fill your heart, here are all the details that you should know about the upcoming sequel.

Why Camila Cabello Embraced Pda With Boyfriend Matthew Hussey
Camila Cabello hears her fans loud and clear. Despite dating her beau Matthew Hussey for about a year, the Grammy-nominated songstress has kept her romance out of the spotlight—well, as much as one of the biggest international stars in Hollywood can. Back in October, it was only after some chanting from fans that she embraced Hussey in a quick smooch at the airport. To add, they've never stepped out on the red carpet together and she keeps details about their relationship to a public minimum. As she explained to Billboard, she doesn't want to that kind of fame. "I know that it would be a lot more interesting for people if I posted more about my private life or was...

Here's Where to Watch Sandra Oh in the Golden Globe-Nominated Killing Eve

Here's Where to Watch Sandra Oh in the Golden Globe-Nominated Killing Eve
By now, there's no way you don't know Sandra Oh is back on TV on the British show Killing Eve - bless, because we weren't over her departure from Grey's Anatomy. The psychological crime thriller picked up two nominations at the 2019 Golden Globes for best actress in a drama series and best drama series, so its star is only picking up. What we're saying is, if you haven't yet seen the eight episodes of the show's first season, it's time, particularly because it has been renewed for a second season.

Based on Luke Jennings's novel Codename Villanelle, Killing Eve focuses on a smart and quirky MI5 security officer named Eve Polastri (played by Oh), who's looking for more excitement at work. Her wish soon comes true when she takes on the case of a psychopathic killer named Villanelle (Jodie Comer), or Oksana Astankova. Both spy and assassin grow obsessed with each other,

How Dolly Parton Became the Unofficial Fairy Godmother of Netflix's Dumplin'

Image Source: Getty / Rich Fury

Dolly Parton is the type of celebrity who, the more you find out about her, the more impossible it is not to admire her.

The iconic singer-songwriter has not only been making music since the 1960s when she burst on the scene with her debut album, Hello, I'm Dolly, but she's also dabbled in being an actress, record producer, and philanthropist (her charity donated its 100 millionth book in February). On top of all that, she's also an incredibly savvy businesswoman, which means she's maintained ownership over most of her own songs over the last few decades, which is what allowed her to lend her music to Netflix's latest rom-com hit, Dumplin'.

The film follows the story of Willowdean Dickson (Danielle Macdonald), a "self-proclaimed fat girl" who decides to regain her confidence by entering the beauty pageant run by her thin, judgmental mother (Jennifer Aniston) in her small Texas town.

Supernatural's 300th Episode Will Feature a Very Special Guest Star: Jeffrey Dean Morgan!

A family reunion is about to go down on Supernatural, so you might want to get your tissues ready now. In honor of the long-running CW series's 300th episode, which is currently in production in Vancouver, John Winchester - aka fan favorite Jeffrey Dean Morgan - is reportedly returning to his monster-hunting sons after over a decade away from the series.

More than 11 years have passed since Morgan's character appeared on the show, not counting last year's cheeky nod to his villainous turn as Negan on The Walking Dead. The last time he popped up on the show in the flesh was in its season two finale, when he helps his boys, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), defeat Yellow Eyes. Of course, that happens after he's already, technically, died due to sacrificing himself to save Dean. So, naturally (sorry), a reunion between John, Sam, and Dean would be emotional,

Ellen DeGeneres Politely Explains to James Corden That
I'm from North Carolina, so I know what the expression "bless your heart" really means. Adorable Londoner James Corden, however, does not. He hosted Ellen DeGeneres and Patrick Wilson on The Late Late Show With James Corden on Wednesday night, and since the two guests are from parts of the South - Ellen is from Louisiana and Patrick is from Virginia - James asked, "What are your favorite expressions from that part of the world? I've never been."

He explained that he met someone from the South and was trying to park but couldn't get in the space, and the woman said, "Oh, darlin', bless your heart." "I thought, oh, that's the nicest expression you could ever have!" James said. Ellen had to break the news: "It's an insult." She clarified the "compliment" James was given and explained that it was more like, "You poor, stupid person." Patrick chimed in and said,
